Aims and Scope

Veterinary Medical Journal – Giza (VMJ-G) is an official journal of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University. It is an open access peer reviewed journal publishing original articles, reviews, case reports and short communications of high scientific and ethical standards in the fields of Veterinary Medicine and Zoonoses.

The journal aims to publish researches in all field relevant to health and management of domestic animals, poultry, aquatic animals, and wildlife including:

  • Food control, technology and safety.
  • Nutrition and clinical nutrition
  • Microbiology and infectious diseases including (virology, bacteriology, mycology, immunology, parasitology and infectious diseases)
  • Clinical veterinary sciences including (internal medicine, surgery, anesthesiology, diagnostic imaging, theriogenology, andrology, obstetrics, fish and aquatic animals’ diseases, poultry and birds’ diseases, and veterinary and clinical pathology).
  • Zoonoses, epidemiology, veterinary hygiene and public health.
  • Basic veterinary sciences including (anatomy, embryology, cytology, histology, physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and biotechnology).
  • Pharmacology, toxicology and forensic medicine.
  • Animal welfare, animal management, animal behavior and aquaculture.
