A total of 80 air samples from different compartments of slaughter house Shahaat (A libyan abattoir) were examined mycologically. A number of 360 mould strains were recovered, the top were dark moulds (87.22%), Aspergillus (6.677%, Penicillium (2.22%), Fusarium (1.947%). Mucor and Absidia were also isolated. Sedimentation rate of cfu of moulds on one cm2 was calculated.
